 Q. Can I order a Swarovski product that is not posted on your Web site?

A. Yes, we carry the full Swarovski components line. If there is something you need that is not on the website, we can special order it for you in factory packages. However, there is a minimum order quantity and a lead time of 10 days or more depending on product availability. All special orders must be paid at the time the order is placed and there are no refunds or exchanges.

To order a product not shown on the Web site, please email us at Service@BestBuyBeads.com. Please include the Article Number, color and mm size.

Q. Can I order an item that is out of stock?

A. If an item is out of stock and you would like to be notified when the item is back in stock, please send us an e-mail (go to the Contact Us page) indicating the items you wish to purchase.  Note that an item that is out of stock may not be added to your current order. Be sure to check back frequently as our Web site is updated as soon as our stock is replenished.

We do our best to insure adequate stock of all items. However, items can be in short supply due to inadequate factory production coupled with increased demand. Unfortunately, we often do not know when an out-of-stock item will become available. It is difficult and often impossible to determine when an out-of-stock item will become available. We’ll do our best to keep you posted, but please check back often.

Q. Will I have to pay sales tax?

A. Sales tax is applicable only to orders being shipped to destinations within the state of Minnesota (because of BestBuyBeads’ business locations). If you are a tax-exempt business with a current, valid Minnesota Resale Certificate please email a copy to us at Service@BestBuyBeads.com. Sales tax can only be waived if a current copy of this document is on-file with us.

Q. Is this a secure site?

A. Yes. You can be certain that your personal information is encrypted and secure. We will never share your personal information with anyone for any reason. To prevent unauthorized access and ensure correct use of information, we use secure technology that encrypts and safeguards the information we collect online. Please feel free to contact us should you need any additional information concerning our privacy procedures. 

Q. Do you have a catalog?

A. In order to keep our prices as low as possible and due to constantly changing inventory, we currently do not have a printed catalog. However, please feel free to use your browser to print any of our product pages from the web site. Our web site is always up-to-date with our current product selection and pricing.

Q. How long is a millimeter (mm)?

A. There are approximately 25 millimeters to an inch. A six millimeter bead is roughly ¼ of an inch long.

Q. What color is…(fill in the blank)?

A. If you are unsure what a particular color looks like, we have several helpful color charts devoted to this topic. First, our color chart shows a photo of the basic Swarovski® colors. Second, we have devised a color description chart that you may find useful. Please note that the colors on the color chart may not be exact due to photography limitations and differences in computer monitors. Also, all of the styles are not available in all colors. The charts are a guide only.

Q. California Prop 65 Warning

A. Proposition 65: WARNING: Consuming foods or beverages that have been kept or served in leaded crystal products or handling products made of leaded crystal will expose you to lead, a chemical known to the State of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm. We recommend that you wash your hands after handling, and keep all items away from small children and infants.

Q. What is the new bicone bead, article 5328?

A. Swarovski recently upgraded the entire 5301 bicone bead series to a more faceted cut which was renamed as article series 5328. This new Xillion cut bicone has more sparkle and brilliance due to the increase in the number of facets.

Please be assured that products 5301 and 5328 can be combined and used interchangeably as their dimensions and geometry are complimentary.

The old design is being phased out of production by Swarovski and the new article is available in the same assortment as the previous article 5301. Further, the increased number of facets of the 5328 enhances the overall appearance of the bead and the rounder belt line will result in improved wearing comfort of the finished design. The old style 5301 bicones will no longer be available as inventory runs out.

We plan to use the 5301/5328 product ID for the upgraded products.

Q. What is Silver-filled?

A. Silver-filled means that the outer 10% of each item is .925 silver. These items have a brass core. The silver is mechanically bonded to the brass. The result is a much thicker layer than silver plating. This process makes the product less expensive than solid sterling silver, and the difference in quality is impossible to see with the naked eye. Unlike silver plate, which can wear off quickly, silver-filled will keep its beauty through years of daily wear. Just use the same precautions you would with real silver jewelry - don't expose to harsh chemicals, and when not in use, store in a dry, airtight bag or container.

Q. How do I use a coupon code?

A. View your shopping cart (click on the shopping cart or the "Checkout" link) prior to checking out and and you will then be prompted for the coupon code. Please note that you may use a coupon code only once, and only one coupon may be applied to each order. If you enter more than one coupon code, the last one you enter will be applied to the order. Most coupon codes expire 6 months after issue.
